Public Policies<\/h1>\n

Since its foundation in 1997, the Viva e Deixe Viver Association brings in its mission, vision, values, and practices humanized and organized efforts for different sectors to talk and cooperate in favor of social welfare and the best quality of life that can and should be enjoyed in several areas.<\/p>\n

Based on the training of volunteers and with the goal of building a more egalitarian society, walking together with public policies, understanding their civic purposes was paramount to achieve the goal and go beyond, with awareness, commitment, and constancy in all our actions.<\/p>\n

Public policies promoted within the Viva e Deixe Viver Association:<\/p>\n

\"\"Humanization in Health<\/strong> - in 1998, the association demanded public policies for humanization (HUMANIZA-SUS) in hospital care, counting on the support of important networks such as the Children's Institute at the University of S\u00e3o Paulo's Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas, AACD-Association for Assistance to Disabled Children, and Em\u00edlio Ribas Hospital, in S\u00e3o Paulo, where this story of storytelling began.<\/p>\n

A<\/strong>Hospital Pedagogical Care (Article 13 of resolution 2\/2001 of the National Board of Basic Education at the National Council of Education) - <\/strong>has always been a focus and a positive differential in our preparation method, since more than 63% of the patients seen by the association annually are in their early childhood (0 - 6 years old).<\/p>\n

Toy libraries (playrooms)<\/strong> - The right to quality education, literacy, and information have also expanded into playful activities and, hand in hand with the encouragement of reading, the hospital toy libraries (Law 11.104) have guaranteed even more space for development and inclusion. Over 25,000 books have been read with the patients, their families, and the health and education professionals who take part in the necessary conversation circles. Already aware of its importance, we ended up winning in this niche, good partnerships with the Psychiatry Institute of the Clinics Hospital of S\u00e3o Paulo and the Nursing School of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo, where we developed the game \"I Tell!\" (Eu Conto) as an alternative to the construction of narratives, allowing, through means of interactivity and dialogue for many patients to express themselves, tell and listen to stories, even those with more difficulty on attention or socialization. brinquedotecas hospitalares (Lei 11.104)<\/strong> garantiram ainda mais espa\u00e7o de desenvolvimento e inclus\u00e3o. S\u00e3o mais de 25 mil livros lidos com o paciente, sua fam\u00edlia e os profissionais da sa\u00fade e educa\u00e7\u00e3o que participam das necess\u00e1rias rodas de conversa. J\u00e1 conscientes de sua import\u00e2ncia, acabamos por ganhar nesse nicho, boas parcerias com o Instituto de Psiquiatria do Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas de SP e a Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo, onde desenvolvemos o Jogo Eu conto! como alternativa \u00e0 constru\u00e7\u00e3o de narrativas, permitindo que, por meio de interatividade e di\u00e1logo, v\u00e1rios pacientes pudessem se expressar, contar e ouvir hist\u00f3rias, mesmo aqueles com mais dificuldade de aten\u00e7\u00e3o ou socializa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

The purposes and projects that started out focused on the health realm and have been extended, with each advance and each breakthrough, to culture and education as well. This way, the Viva e Deixe Viver Association is also, Viva & Eduque, earning the label of cultural spot wherever it conducts its activities,<\/strong> inside or outside its headquarters in S\u00e3o Paulo. Wherever we are alive we produce culture and love for art.<\/p>\n
